Our commitment to accessibility

PurpleTree.ie is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

European Accessibility Act (EAA) Compliance

As of June 28, 2025, the European Accessibility Act requires businesses operating in or serving the EU market to make their digital services accessible to people with disabilities. We are committed to meeting these legal requirements and conforming to EN 301 549, the harmonised European standard for digital accessibility, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and are now legally required under the European Accessibility Act for businesses like ours.
